The First Overseas Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Production Project of GUOFUHEE to Serve COP 28

COP 28 will be held from November 30 to December 12, 2023 at Expo City, Dubai, UAE. Thousands of leaders, diplomats and international politicians are expected to attend the big event. As the third largest oil producer in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the UAE is actively promoting the energy transition and is fully engaged in the hydrogen energy industry.

Previously, Mubadala, a UAE sovereign investor, ADNOC and ADQ jointly launched the "Hydrogen Alliance" to accelerate the wide application of hydrogen energy in transportation and industrial production. ADNOC recently announced that it will build the first hydrogen refueling station in the Middle East to fuel 10 Toyota passenger cars and 10 BMW passenger cars. The station is scheduled to be operational by October 2023 as a demonstration project of COP 28. In addition, ADNOC plans to build another 176 HRS in the next five years.

After ADNOC's global supplier survey, GUOFUHEE and Broaden Energy won the bidding of ADNOC's integrated hydrogen generation and refueling station project. GUOFUHEE will provide the complete electrolyzer system and HRS solution for the integrated station, and equipment operation and maintenance services during the period of COP 28. GUOFUHEE's Chairman, Mr. Pinfang Wu, met with Broaden Energy on June 22, 2023 at the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, and reached a consensus after in-depth exchanges and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Supply Agreement for the integrated station project.

The awarded project is GUOFUHEE's first overseas water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment order, representing the smooth and successful implementation of GUOFUHEE's overseas strategic plan, which will drive the application of hydrogen energy equipment globally. As a flagship hydrogen enterprise in China, GUOFUHEE has been providing whole industry chain solution for green hydrogen production from renewable energy sources and large-scale storage and transportation of green hydrogen and its application. Since 2023, GUOFUHEE has already launched its market in Europe, the Middle East, Brazil, South Africa, Australia and other regions, and has established a good reputation in the international market after the inspection and certification by major international energy customers. In addition, according to the strategic cooperation agreements signed, GUOFUHEE is expected to obtain at least 1 billion US dollars of orders overseas in the next five years, and endeavors to continuously explore the hydrogen energy business model in the international market, and contributes to the global decarbonization.
