Guofuhee Launches First Green Hydrogen Electrolysis System Exported to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB)

Jul 22, 2025

Recently, the 50Nm³/h water electrolysis equipment supplied by Guofuhee for the TNB-PCSS Green Hydrogen Demonstration Project of TNB has been successfully shipped from Shanghai Port, marking a solid step forward in Guofuhee's international strategy.

As a demonstration project at TNB's JEP power plant, this initiative provides an integrated solution encompassing green hydrogen production, compression, storage, and supply for the generator cooling system of TNB. Leveraging its professional expertise and project experience in hydrogen energy, Guofuhee secured the contract in 2024. The project configuration includes alkaline and PEM electrolysis systems, storage tanks, and SCADA systems. To meet local standards, Guofuhee collaborated with a third-party international certification body to rigorously oversee the entire process-from design and manufacturing to inspection and certification. The shipped electrolysis system integrates advanced alkaline and PEM technologies, ensuring quality and reliability in hydrogen production, storage, and utilization.

Throughout the project, HyCee-a joint venture between Guofuhee and Asia Energy-combined their strengths to provide local market resources, project management, and advisory services, closely collaborating with Guofuhee to fulfill the stringent requirements of TNB. As Malaysia's first renewable energy-based hydrogen demonstration project, Guofuhee worked meticulously with its local partner, Asia Energy, to execute each phase with precision, aiming to establish a green benchmark for Malaysia's energy transition and decarbonization strategy.

Guofuhee's head of overseas operations stated that the company will continue to deepen technological innovation and actively expand into global markets, driving the development of the hydrogen industry worldwide and supporting more nations in achieving green energy transformation.
