Recently, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GUOFUHEE has formally concluded a supply contract with RCT GH GmbH (“RCT Hydrogen”) to deliver core equipment for the 10 MW electrolyser project at the Port of Sines, Portugal. As one of the first large-scale commercial orders secured in Europe, this project marks GUOFUHEE’s substantial breakthrough into Europe’s green hydrogen equipment market supported by its local joint venture model.

Located at the Port of Sines, Portugal, the project plans to deploy a 10 MW pressurised alkaline electrolyser system, alongside a network of green hydrogen refuelling stations and ultra-fast EV charging points. It aims to build an integrated green hydrogen energy hub encompassing hydrogen production, storage, transportation and refuelling. Core equipment for the project will be delivered within 2026, with commercial operation scheduled for summer 2027. The produced green hydrogen will not only serve transport applications but also be blended into the natural gas pipeline network operated by Portuguese energy firm EDP, accelerating Portugal’s energy transition.

RCT Hydrogen is a joint venture between GUOFUHEE and RCT Holding. It focuses on local manufacturing, after-sales service and maintenance of water electrolysis equipment, as well as delivering holistic solutions including engineering design and EPCM services. Acting as the system integrator for this project, RCT Hydrogen oversees overall system integration and delivery, while GUOFUHEE supplies core hydrogen production equipment. The award of this full delivery contract for the European 10 MW project, which delivers EU-compliant turnkey solutions to the end client, recognises the system integration and engineering capabilities stemming from the partnership between GUOFUHEE and RCT. It also serves as tangible validation of the market viability of this collaborative business model. This partnership leverages GUOFUHEE’s strengths in large-scale manufacturing experience and cost competitiveness for hydrogen equipment, combined with RCT’s local European engineering expertise and on-site service capabilities. It enables effective alignment between Chinese manufacturing and European standards, delivering genuine one-stop, standardised delivery to clients and greatly streamlining procurement and project management workflows.

The Portuguese project represents another milestone in the company’s overseas green hydrogen equipment export portfolio. It signals the diversification of GUOFUHEE’s global strategy, evolving from “project investment and in-depth participation” toward a multi-dimensional model featuring “technology export and equipment supply”. The company is steadily building a hydrogen industrial ecosystem spanning key global markets. Its international platform development closely aligns with China’s “Dual Carbon” goals and the new landscape of energy security, contributing Chinese solutions to the global transition to renewable energy.
